What does a cooker hood installation & repairs service include?
Airtasker’s cooker hood installation and repairs service can cover different kinds of range hoods (vented, non-vented, branded). Taskers also bring their tools when they go to your location. Though specific details may vary slightly from Tasker to Tasker, here are the general inclusions when you request a cooker hood installation & repairs service through Airtasker:
Tools and supplies
On appointment day, your Tasker arrives with the necessary tools for installing or repairing your range hood. Devices may include screws, a screwdriver, a drill, a hammer, wire cutters, insulated working gloves, and others. You won’t need to figure out the necessary supplies, since the Tasker will bring them for you (just like all our other Handyman Taskers). Do note that you’ll need to specify your cooker hood model in the task post for your installer or repairman to prepare adequately.
Cooker hood installation

Hi I am reaching out to seek assistance with completing the installation of my recirculating cooker hood at my residence. The hood is fixed to the interior wall of the house. The hose does not go outside it is filtered inside. Sadly, our previous electrician was only able to complete part of the installation before having to leave due to family commitments. - Complete the installation of a recirculating cooker hood, which requires installing the Kair Semi-Rigid Aluminium Hose (152mm Dia - 3 Metre Length) and also putting the cover on. - Relocate two sensitive, interlinked fire alarms that are wired to the mains. - Address a non-functioning light fixture previously installed, which may need repair or replacement. While cleaning the kitchen extractor fan, we were removing what looked like a removable piece, but it wasn't, there was a wire attached. We lowered it a few centimeters too much and there was a short circuit. Now it doesn't work.
