Title: Cooker hood/extractor inspection – London Bridge SE1 I'm looking for an experienced cooker hood or ventilation engineer to inspect an existing kitchen extractor hood in a tenanted flat in London Bridge. The tenants have reported that the extractor may not be functioning correctly and believe it may have been directing warm, moist air towards the ceiling. There is now visible peeling paint and damage to the ceiling directly above the extractor. The extractor is believed to be a recirculating model rather than externally vented. I'd like someone to: - Check whether the extractor is functioning correctly. - Inspect the filters, fan motor and airflow. - Confirm whether the air is being discharged correctly. - Assess whether the extractor could be contributing to the ceiling damage. - Advise on any necessary repairs or replacement. Ideally, I'd like someone who can also assess whether the ceiling is currently damp and advise if further investigation is required. I've got an old Elica ciak in recirculating mode (Built-in / semi-integrated pull-out hood designed to hide inside a kitchen cabinet). i need 2 steps: First someone to have a look at my current setup and help me understand if the change can be done.
