Though specific details may vary slightly from Tasker to Tasker, here are the general inclusions when you request a cooker hood installation & repairs service through Airtasker:
Tools and supplies
On appointment day, your Tasker arrives with the necessary tools for installing or repairing your range hood. Devices may include screws, a screwdriver, a drill, a hammer, wire cutters, insulated working gloves, and others. You won’t need to figure out the necessary supplies, since the Tasker will bring them for you (just like all our other Handyman Taskers). Do note that you’ll need to specify your cooker hood model in the task post for your installer or repairman to prepare adequately.
Cooker hood installation
Gas cooker hood installation covers everything from disassembling the cover of the hood to checking if it works properly. Usually, Taskers can take on both vented and non-vented models, which have slightly different installation processes. In some instances, your Tasker may bring along a partner to help them mark the position of your vent before cutting out or drilling.

I bought a new cooker hood and need help mounting it on the wall and do the electricals (e.g. hood lights). It is the type that is internally recirculating so no outside pipe. Our old kitchen extractor fan broke and we need a new one fitting. The wall has been replastered so the extractor fan hole also needs enlarging but it’s just the plaster. There is already a plug on the wall. So it just needs mounting and the hole expanding.
