What do console repair services include?
The game console repair service includes all the tasks necessary to make a non-working or malfunctioning game console work as intended. To repair popular consoles like the PS4, Xbox One or Nintendo Switch, your console repairman can do troubleshooting followed by the needed repairs. After completing the repairs, they can test the system to ensure the console is back to its original working order.
Troubleshooting the problem
Your console repair specialist begins by inspecting the different functions and components of your gaming console. They may also check each game disc for dirt or scratches if reading or loading errors occur. Your specialist inspects the cables, controllers, connection ports for issues. The monitor or TV and the Wi-Fi are checked as appropriate for any video, audio or connectivity problems. Once the problem is found, your console repair specialist works on the necessary fixes.
Checking connections
Your console repairman checks all the connections that lead to and from the gaming console. This includes the HDMI cables, the HDMI ports on both the TV or monitor and the console, the power plugs and the controller ports. Your specialist can also check your internet for connectivity problems and do the appropriate fixes.
Cleaning the internal parts
Defective gaming consoles can trace some of their problems to issues with heat management. The cooling fan usually causes this, along with the heat sink and other internal parts choked with dirt and debris.
Your console repair specialist disconnects the console, shuts off the power and opens your game console’s case. They then clean the fan, heat sink, hard disk if any, and other parts with a non-static brush or blast from a can of compressed air. The case is reassembled once all the cleaning is done.
Rewiring the console and controllers
Some issues on your gaming console or its parts may be due to wires that have snapped or got cut from excessive bending. Your console repair specialist can check the wires on the controllers, HDMI cable or other connecting cables, and the power cable. Should any cut wires be discovered, your specialist can install new wires and splice or solder new connections.
Replacing the non-working components
Any parts that no longer work on your consoles, such as the cooling fan on your PS4 or Xbox or the PS4 hard disk can be replaced if necessary. Note that your specialist may not have the replacement parts ready, so you must purchase these. Some specialists may offer to go to the console repair store to get these parts for you for a small additional fee.
Testing the game console after repair
After your hired repair specialist has applied the fixes, they can test the console. They can check that the game loads up and works, both controllers function and respond as they should, and the video, audio and internet connectivity work as expected. If any issues arise, your repair specialist repeats the diagnostic and repair process until the console works without any problems.

Bathroom taps replaced
£175
Cambridge Heath, Greater London, E2
14th Jun 2025
My bathroom taps need replacing as are dripping - I managed to change one of the cartridges myself but due to the very old Bristan parts, I can’t find a spline to extend to put the tap back on. And haven’t bothered trying with the hot tap as couldn’t complete the job myself. Believe I need to change the taps and panel entirely. It is a Bristan bath tap set which was fitted to a basin. EDIT: should have stated I do not have the parts - I have new cartridges for the dripping but need new taps and backing plate to be sourced for me please

Garage door gaps to close with filling board, 3 doors, others done
£150
Paddington, Greater London, W2
7th Jun 2025
Three garage doors in W2 2SB, have gaps at the bottom, need to add a plank at bottom of each door to fully close, the gap to avoid dust and rodents and foxes from entering. There are examples of doors that have already been fixed in this way. In this way. In thePhotos attched, there are three doors to be done and the sizes are as follows.: Here are the measurements for the 3 garages (width of the door and the gap between the closed door and floor): # 9 door: 221 cm wide, 8 cm gap # 11 door: 221.5 cm wide, 9 cm gap # 19 door: 221.5 cm, 10 cm gap People have filled the gap in 3 ways that I could see: 1. fitted wood planks on the inside or outside of the door, 2. fitted wood plank seemingly on the ground, along the door. 3. fitted rubber like material plank on the inside (or outside) of the door 1 is the most common. Would like to get this done as soon as possible. Sunday the 8th June, tomorrow would be a great time to get this done.
