I’m writing to ask for advice on a damaged area of my carpet. About a 30×40 cm section has turned white after being accidentally cleaned with dish soap. Could you please let me know what the most affordable solution might be? For example, whether it can be repaired or if a partial replacement would be better. I’d also appreciate an idea of the estimated cost and how long it would take.

Carpet and underlay to be fitted to an empty room (3.6x2.7m) a U shaped landing (1.8x2.9m) and a standard staircase. Carpet, underlay, grips, thresholds all on site. The property is being renovated so currently the floor in these areas are bare.
