Looking for an experienced flooring contractor to replace existing carpet in approximately 36 m²: Bedroom: ~12 m² (3m × 4m) Living room: ~17.2 m² (4m × 4.3m) Hallway A: ~3.5 m² (3.5m × 1m) Hallway B: ~3.6 m² (3.6m × 1m) Scope of work Remove and dispose of existing carpet and underlay. Remove and refit skirting boards as required for proper installation. Inspect the exposed subfloor once the carpet is removed and assess whether it is suitable for vinyl flooring. Carry out any necessary subfloor repairs, preparation and levelling to achieve a suitable, stable and reasonably level surface. Please discuss/agree any significant additional repair costs before proceeding. Preferred option: install vinyl flooring if the subfloor can be suitably prepared. Alternative: if the subfloor cannot reasonably be brought to a suitable standard for vinyl, install new carpet instead. Therefore, contractor must be experienced in both vinyl and carpet installation. Move all furniture as required. Heavy furniture must be safely dismantled where possible, moved, and reassembled once flooring is complete. Supply and install all necessary underlay/adhesive, trims, thresholds and finishing materials. Protect walls, doors, furniture and other property during the work. Remove all installation waste and leave the areas clean.
