Blinds are going to be bought from dunelm, just need help fitting it please

String on one side is very thin & about to snap. Also snagging on roller when opening which has likely caused the string to thin.

The cord on my velux blind has come loose and it won’t fully close. It’s not snapped. It seems it’s jammed in the track.
