We have had a fridge delivered but it doesn’t fit the gap due to skirting board, needs approx 67cm taking away

I have had an internal wall plastered over and now i need to match the skirting with the rest of the wall on both sides. I do have some skirting saved from another wall but it doesnt really fit. Not sure if it can be made to fit or whether we need to start again?
