Multi-door carpentry: Repairs, rehanging, and hardware fitting (Prep for paint) Description: I need an experienced carpenter or high-end handyman to fill cracks & a few holes, prep, and fit hardware across 6 internal doors. All new handles, knobs, and hinges will be provided on-site. Scope of Work: 1. Old/Period Doors (4 doors total): * Fill / smooth out blown grain, and rough textures caused by previous caustic chemical stripping. * Fill, sand, and smooth all surfaces so they are structurally stable and fully prepped for priming/painting. * Door #1 (Rehang): Rehang completely to open the opposite way. Recess new hinge positions into the frame and door (if needed), fill the old recesses, and realign the latch/strike plates, make ready for priming / painting. * Doors #2, #3, #4: Fill old hardware holes/mortise slots and install new handles (and a thumb lock in one of them), and make ready for priming / painting. 3. Cellar Door (1 door total): * Hinge Extraction & Replacement: Remove the broken and seized hinges from the frame (probably need screw extractors or cutting tools). Hang the door securely using new hinges. * Hardware & Draft Proofing: Install a working doorknob and lock, and fit a hard-wearing draft-proofing seal system around the frame (you to supply the draft-proofing). Quick note on dust and cleanliness: Our home has been in renovation mode for ages, so it is definitely not a pristine environment! However, because we have our daughter at home and are trying to survive the renovation, we really need to minimise any extra dust and mess. Just because the house is currently a bit of a work-in-progress doesn’t mean we want it to stay that way! We kindly ask that you use a dust-extracted sander (vacuum attachment) to keep the dust down, bring your own dust sheets to protect the walkways, and do a tidy/vacuum of the work area at the end of each day. We really appreciate your help with this!

Hello there I am looking to make a woden pangola for my Garden with polycarbonate sheet to cover and the size of the space I want it to cover is 8ft wide and 5.6ft long. I don't know if this is what you can do for me. I am in Middleton Manchester.

I need a way to store my weighted plates, I'm imagining something like one of the 2 images provided. Only problem is they're surprisingly expensive when they're pre-made stainless steel ones. So I'm hoping someone can make one out of wood (like in the first picture) fairly easily. It needs to be able to fit 6 plates steel plates (including quite large ones) safely and sit on the floor.

I need a handyman to repair a wooden back gate at my property. The gate is structurally okay, but the wood around the latch area has cracked and the fittings have come loose. The gate is currently not secure. Scope of work: * Reinforce the damaged section (e.g. metal plate or similar) * Refit or replace the latch/bolt so the gate locks securely * Check and tighten hinges if needed * Align the gate so it closes properly The gate does NOT need replacing — only repair and reinforcement. Photos attached for reference. Please quote including labour and materials (or specify if materials are extra). Flexible with timing, but ideally within the next few days.

My timber kitchen worktop requires restoring. It has some stains and water marks from previous owners so requires sanding and oiling. It is not a particularly large kitchen so should be fairly straightforward. Pictures are attached of the worktop. Thankyou!

Just moved into the house, purchased from the previous owner who left a significant amount of snags (as demonstrated in the photos). Nothing major required, in terms of work, just tidying up / filling gaps in skirting and detailing, levelling flooring between rooms, wardrobe patch up, gap filling etc… happy to provide further images of all items (the attached list attempts to show a general overview of examples). Joiner required to complete a full sweep of the house in terms of snagging remediation. Please note, we don’t currently have the material required.

We need 2 tasks completing: 1. Removal of current 8 balustrades at the top of our staircase landing and fitting of 14 new ones. The 6 extras are to fit in the gaps that are currently too large. The 14 new balustrades will also need cutting down to size to fit. 2. Create a cover/ box for our external gas meter in our front porch. It will need some kind of door too, to read the meter.

Hi - I am looking for a carpenter who can re-hang 7 doors (a couple need height adjustment) and install new door furniture.

I need some shelves made for one of my rooms. I have Ikea pax wardrobes done and I need the wood to match them. I will attach this unit that I could buy on Ikea that’s perfect but the depth is 40cm and I need my depth to be 28cm Roughly this which matches the other measurements - 60cm width / 190cm height depth 28cm I ideally need to buy the Ikea flat packs as they need to match the wardrobes I already have so I don’t know if I can buy that unit and you just make the depth less when you put together if you can even do that? Help pls Hope this makes sense!! I will buy all the wood just need someone to make it for me
