Open to best solution, either replace the whole upstand or, if preferable, I can buy a slightly larger splashback and the burnt section could be cut out. Hello, Re switch: We've had someone come in from AirTasker previously to do a few jobs who also replaced a dimmer switch but, in all honesty, made a mess of it. We'd like it done properly this time. Re extractor fan: We haven't used the extractor fan since moving in but it always had a rattle as if the fan is hitting something. I am under the impression there is a lose wire or another component that's causing this. I believe that this isn't a full on repair job but rather just getting inside and adjusting things a bit, which I currently can't do due to some mobility issues.
