there is an old electrical hob in my flat, I already purchased a new one on Amazon, I need someone who can install it for me and dispose of the old one.

I would like my hob and oven replaced. I have the new hob and oven so I’d like you to remove the old ones and install the new ones.

The existing hob is a flush-mounted Miele KM 5775, approx. 915 x 415mm overall. It is damaged - large crack down centre. Amazingly still working but a bit of a hazard, especially with my young son. The replacement I’m looking at is the NEFF N90 T69FUV4L0, which is 918 x 522mm overall. So it’s slightly wider but considerably deeper, and the quartz opening will need enlarging to accommodate it. But I'm not precious about that model particularly. What I’m hoping you can assess is whether the existing quartz can safely be cut/enlarged for this hob, and what would be involved in removing the old flush-mounted hob and fitting the new one. I have a Hisense Hi8 HI6443BSCWF 60cm induction hob which has already been professionally installed and hardwired. The electrical installation is complete and no electrical work is required. The hob is a standard surface-mounted installation (not flush-mounted) and the manufacturer's foam gasket is already correctly fitted underneath. There is currently approximately 5mm front-to-back movement because the existing worktop cut-out appears to be slightly larger than required. I need someone to: • Check/measure the existing worktop aperture against the manufacturer's specified cut-out of 560–562mm × 490–492mm. • Secure the hob so that it cannot move within the aperture. • If necessary, use a suitable heat-resistant packing/filler solution to reduce the effective aperture size and properly locate the hob (not on the outside) • Keep the existing manufacturer-fitted foam gasket intact. The manufacturer requires this gasket around the underside perimeter of the glass. • Leave the hob level, centred and securely seated on the worktop. No worktop cutting is expected and no electrical connection/disconnection is required. Please quote including all materials. Ideally looking for someone experienced with fitting induction/ceramic hobs.

I have a new hob and oven already delivered and need both installed. The oven just needs to be pugged in - but since the new oven is deeper than the old one, to make it fit I need the copper gas pipe behind it needs rerouting slightly and the electrical socket needs to be put in-wall / flush-mounted fitting. Must be Gas Safe registered. The new hob needs to be installed as well.

Remove all existing sealant around the kitchen sink and hob, clean and prepare the surfaces thoroughly, and reseal neatly with suitable clear kitchen-grade silicone. Also remove and replace the existing dark-grey flexible sealant/jointing material between the sections of wooden worktop. The replacement should be dark grey, ideally matching the current colour. Please identify and use a product suitable for wooden worktop joints—not ordinary silicone unless that is technically appropriate. Please confirm the worktop-joint product and colour with me before applying it. Black may be considered only if suitable dark grey cannot be sourced and must be approved beforehand. The finish needs to be clean, smooth and watertight. Please provide all tools and materials, completely remove the existing sealants, prepare the surfaces properly, and dispose of the waste. Please only offer if you have relevant kitchen/worktop sealing experience. Photos attached.

New hob needs installing and old one taking out

recently had a gas hob fitted into my flat, but the connection was not done very well and there is a small leak. About 2-3 feet of the gas feed pipe needs to be replaced and then the gas connection to the actual hob refitted. I’m looking for a qualified electrician to replace my existing hardwired ceramic hob with a new induction hob. Existing hob: Indesit RI 161 C ceramic hob (6.2 kW) New hob: Hisense Hi8 HI6443BSCWF 60cm induction hob (7.36 kW) The existing Indesit hob is hardwired into a dedicated cooker supply and will need to be safely disconnected and removed. The new Hisense Hi8 also needs to be hardwired, using the existing cooker circuit if it is suitable. Please check that the existing circuit, cable, protective device and isolation arrangement are appropriate for the new 7.36 kW induction hob before connection. The existing worktop cut-out should already be compatible (approximately 560 × 490 mm), so I am not expecting any worktop modification to be required. Scope: 1) Safely isolate and disconnect the existing hardwired Indesit hob 2) Remove the old hob from the worktop 3) Check suitability of the existing cooker circuit for the new 7.36 kW induction hob 4) Install and hardwire the Hisense Hi8 HI6443BSCWF 5) Secure the new hob correctly in the existing worktop aperture 6) Electrically test the installation and confirm safe operation 7) Dispose of the old hob as appropriate for electrical appliance if this is possible or alternatively, load into car for disposal at Raynesway Household Waste Recycling Centre, please let me know if disposal is included in your quote. Please quote for labour and any standard electrical connection materials required. If you anticipate that the existing circuit may require upgrading, please indicate how this would be assessed and any likely additional costs.

I have an 20 year old AEG Hot Plate hob, which is pretty much awful and I am thinking of replacing it. However all the dimensions of new ones seem to be 1cm more. I just wondered if this is something that can be done? No rush just wondering before I order a new hob. Pics include existing dimensions vs new ones, and image of setup. The Hob has its own Power Switch/Circuit etc
