Looking for an experienced roofer or carpenter to inspect and repair a damaged front roof corner on a two-storey brick house. The front porch roof corner has visible deterioration to the fascia/barge board, including peeling paint and possible timber rot from prolonged moisture exposure (I think). The job includes: Inspect the damaged timber and determine whether it needs repair or replacement. Check for signs of water ingress or timber rot. Inspect the roof edge, flashing, gutters and adjoining eaves to identify the source of the moisture. Check whether water from the upper roof/eave is discharging onto the lower roof corner and recommend a permanent solution if required. Repair or replace the damaged timber as necessary. Prepare, seal and paint the repaired area to match the existing finish, if necessary Photos are attached. Please provide: Your assessment of the cause of the damage. A recommended repair solution. A quote including labour, materials & airtasker fee. Note: I'm looking for the underlying cause of the water damage to be identified and addressed, not just the damaged timber to be replaced.
