I have a bedroom next to the bathroom shower that needs some repairs. We opened up part of the wall to check for any potential issues - We purchased the house some time ago, and it appears there may have been a previous leak that was repaired by the former owner (there are patchworks visible). After opening the wall, we didn’t find any active leaks, but we did notice some old mould, which has now been treated. I’m unsure what level of repair is required at this stage — whether the entire internal wall (including studs) needs replacing, or if only the lower section can be repaired and patched.
