I’m looking for someone experienced with door adjustments/carpentry to fix two internal doors in our home. Both the office door and my son’s bedroom door no longer latch properly. They appear to close, but they don’t catch in the strike plate, so if you push on them they open again. I have three old bedroom doors that I want to replace with new doors. I estimate the new doors will need to be shaved about 1cm at both ends, but the width looks fine. New door on the left. Existing door on the right. Plan to use the existing door handles for the new doors.

Internal original door was removed by previous owner and needs rehanging and balancing. Door, hinges and handle are already present. Latch is fitted and working but needs adjustment and lubrication.
