Experienced handyman or chippy needed to install a pair of existing doors as a double door set between two soundstages at our film studio. Most materials are on site. Scope of work: ∙ Trim 2 x supplied doors to fit 1900mm high opening (approx 410mm off each, cap cut ends using spare framing timber on site) ∙ Hang doors in existing framed opening (approx 1480mm wide) ∙ Shim and pack as needed to sit square and plumb ∙ Fit hinges, flush bolts (top and bottom on inactive leaf), astragal strip between leaves, and matching black pulls or handles (hardware on site) ∙ Paint both doors matte black, 2 coats both sides and all edges (Tasker to supply paint and rollers; happy to reimburse on receipt or add to task price) ∙ Make good any minor touch-ups around the opening ∙ Clean up and remove offcuts On site: ∙ 2 x solid core doors with frosted vertical glass strips (800mm wide x 2310mm tall, currently white) ∙ Timber cutter and spare framing timber for cut caps ∙ All door hardware ∙ Power, step ladder, workbench, good lighting Not on site: black paint and rollers (Tasker to bring). The doors sit in a frequently photographed area of a professional film studio, so finish matters. Looking for consistent 3 to 4mm reveals, plumb hanging, and a clean centre meeting line. We bought a new door handle to replace a broken one, and it looks like the hole requires widening on door so new door handle can be installed. Pretty sure a handyman with the right drill bits will be able to install this without too many problems. We have the new door handle ready to go - see attached photos. Flexible on times, but ideally between 9am and 2pm weekdays.

Looking for a handyman or carpenter to repair an internal door and door frame There’s a hole in a hollow-core door near the handle that needs patching and repainting. One side of the door frame/architrave has come off. I still have all the pieces, they just need to be refitted properly. Photos attached. I need two internal doors hung. can use current hardware. Must have some experience. so am looking for a handyman or carpenter as the door will need to be slightly shaved and a hole inserted for the door handle.
