I need an experienced handyman for two jobs around the house: fixing a loose toilet seat and replacing a curtain rod. Task 1: Toilet Seat Repair. The toilet seat has been incorrectly/poorly secured and is now extremely loose and unusable. The fixing/hinge mechanism is not holding the seat securely, causing it to slide and flop around.Remove the existing toilet seat and fixing hardware.Inspect the toilet fixing holes and determine the correct fixing method.Correctly secure the existing seat if it is suitable, OR recommend and install a suitable replacement seat/fixings if the current one is unsuitable.Ensure the finished seat is completely secure and does not move.Note: I don’t have the original packaging or details of the seat, so I need someone who can assess the existing toilet and work out the appropriate solution rather than simply tightening what is there. Task 2: Curtain Rod Replacement. Remove the existing single curtain rod.Supply (by prior agreement) or advise on a suitable double curtain rod/bracket, and securely install it.The goal is to be able to hang a sheer blind underneath and a standard curtain on top. Materials & Payment:Photos are attached showing the existing toilet seat, fixings, and the current curtain setup. I am happy to pay separately for a suitable replacement toilet seat/fittings and the new double curtain rod setup, with all material costs agreed upon beforehand.
