I'm looking for a skilled handyman, builder, or creative problem solver to help design and install a solution to close off the open space between my garage and entrance way. The main goal is to prevent cold air from escaping when the air conditioning is on—we'd close it during AC use and leave it open otherwise. Details: Dimensions: Approximately 253 cm high x 112 cm wide x 10 cm deep (see attached photos for visuals). It needs to be openable and closable as required (only thing can think off is some form of roller blind that has sides and box at top of opening where it can roll up into when not in use) Ideally, the solution should be visually appealing and blend with the home's aesthetic open to modern, minimalist ideas like custom roller screen/blind. I'm open to your suggestions on materials, designs, and costs. If you have experience with similar projects, please share your ideas and a rough quote as I have only put a budget as we have to put something in. The awning is 1.2m wide and 1m deep. The awning comes with bolts to attach the frame to a wall, but I don't think they will work for attaching to brick. I have included a photo of these bolts and the brick wall where I want the awning installed. I'm happy to assist in the installation and I have two ladders suitable for the job. However I don't have a cordless drill that can drill holes in brick and I don't have masonry drill bits that are large enough for the supplied bolts.

We have a lovely jasmine vine that crawls on an arch trellis that borders one of our windows. Unfortunately, some recent high winds broke the trellis in some parts and also pulled it away from the wall at some points. I believe the trellis may be broken beyond repair (happy to be proven wrong). We therefore need: 1. A new arch trellis 2. The trellis connected to the wall that borders the window 3. The jasmine vine to be detached from the original trellis and attached to the new trellis. Naturally, we need the new trellis to be quite sturdy and well connected to the wall so it can withstand high winds and also the weight of the jasmine vine.
