Basement walls need repairs and preparation before painting. There are several holes/damaged sections of gyprock that need to be cut out and repaired/replaced with new plasterboard where required. There are also areas on the existing walls with old material, uneven sections and loose/protruding material that needs to be removed/scraped back and the surfaces patched/smoothed. The goal is to have all affected walls repaired, smooth and ready for primer and painting. Looking for someone experienced with gyprock/plaster repairs who can inspect the basement, advise what is required and complete the work. Laundry curtain removed and reinstalled DAY 1 – Lounge/Dining Remove curtains and simple vertical blinds from 3 small rooms and move them safely to another room. Move lounge/dining furniture to opposite side and move family photos from tables/shelves out from work area. After windows are installed, reinstall curtains/blinds, return furniture and photos to their original positions and vacuum floors. Basic drill/screwdriver required. Curtain hooks and screws may need to be purchased at nearby Bunnings; we will reimburse costs. DAY 2 – Kitchen, Kitchen Dining & Child’s Bedroom Remove curtains/blinds move them safely. Move bunk bed and wardrobe to the opposite side of bedroom, then return them when next windows installed. Clear kitchen benchtops around the window and return everything when finished. Move kitchen dining furniture away from the window. Reinstall curtains/blinds, return furniture and vacuum floors/carpets. Hooks/screws may need to be purchased from Bunnings and will be reimbursed. DAY 3 – Bathroom and Main Bedroom Remove items from the small shaving cabinet and place them in another room, remove the curtain/rod. Installer will remove the old cabinet and wooden frame and leave studs showing the available space. Measure the opening, purchase suitable new shaving cabinet from Bunnings (cost reimbursed) and install it. Reinstall bathroom curtain + shaving cabinet wtih existing shaving cabinet items Need reliable, careful and comfortable working in a small house. Own vacuum required.
