Fixing the letter box to the previous state..

We have a Steel Line automatic garage/roller door that has become stuck in programming mode after pressing buttons on the control unit to try get it to stop beeping for a service it got stuck in program mode. The system is now flashing a “4” and the door will not operate correctly. The motor is not broken as were were able to get to go up and down with the + and - but can’t get it out of program mode. It’s making noise but the door is not completing any movement cycles and appears to be stuck in setup/learn mode. We have already tried basic resets including power cycling, but the issue has not resolved. What we need: * Someone experienced with garage/roller door motors (preferably Steel Line systems) * Reset/exit programming mode * Recalibrate or reprogram travel limits if required * Ensure door is fully operational again Details: * Door currently not functioning properly * Motor still powered and making noise Looking for someone who can attend as soon as possible and fix the issue. ⸻

Garage roller door motor grinding / stopping — service and quote for smart motor replacement I have an older B&D Roll-A-Door with a Firmamatic motor/opener. The garage door currently stops at certain sections, and at one point the motor makes a grinding noise. I live in a strata property, so I’m not looking to replace the whole garage door unless absolutely necessary. (This is not an emergency at all. We've been keeping an eye on it for about a week now: There's an extremely slow leak under our kitchen sink from one of the PVC pipes. It could be as simple as one of the pipes needing to be re-screwed on properly, or perhaps a washer. The seal on one of the PVC pipes is maybe worn. I'm not really sure. We don't know when it started. I'll take a few photos. Essentially, we just need that leak to be fixed and properly identified as to where it's occurring from, coming from this U-bend part. I'm no plumber, so that's why we probably need one to fix it for certain. That's really it. It's a quick fix for somebody who knows what they're looking at, but for me I'm just posting here on AirTasker!
