The unit is 44m² in total and I’ve already laid roughly 10m², so there’s about 34m² left to go. It’s 8mm water resistant laminate (Tasmanian Oak) being installed as a floating floor over the existing timber floorboards. The remaining areas are the living/dining, kitchen and hallway. All the flooring material has already been purchased and is sitting in the middle of the unit, so there’s nothing to source, quote or pick up. All the doors have also already been trimmed down to accommodate the new floor height. There’s minimal furniture and anything in the way will be relocated before work starts. The rooms are simple and mostly rectangular. The only fiddly area in the whole job is one small linen press. Scotia and door thresholds to be fitted as part of the job, and I’d ask that offcuts and packaging are stacked in one spot for me to dispose of afterwards. You’ll need your own tools (drop saw or multi-tool, tapping block, pull bar and spacers). Feel free to ask me any questions

I'm renovating my kitchen and need a small section of flooring installed once the existing kitchen island is removed. Looking for an experienced flooring installer/handyman. Approx. 4m² area where a kitchen island currently sits — once removed, this strip needs new flooring to match the surrounding floor. The concrete slab may need some minor resurfacing once the kitchen island is removed. I've already purchased the matching flooring and underlay (same product as what's currently installed). Existing floor will likely need part of the current layer lifted from one wall edge and relaid, so the new section blends in seamlessly. Hi, I renovated 15 yeas ago. Having carpet layed in my bedrooms. At the time the floor boards very soft in areas and the builder laid some type of tin product over parts on the floor ….
