Task: Install Laminate Flooring in Small Studio (should take an afternoon). Floor cleared and laminate flooring and underlay already in the space ready to go. We are looking for someone reliable to complete the following. Can be completed when convenient for you between now and Wednesday 7 October. Install new laminate flooring throughout the 5.6 m × 3.3 m studio (approx. 18.5 m²). Scope of work: 1. Prepare and clean the existing floor surface (concrete). 2. Lay the polythene/plastic sheeting over the entire floor as a moisture barrier, with appropriate overlaps and sealed joints. NOTE: we will need you to purchase this item from Mitre 10 in Cooma and will reimburse. 3. Lay the supplied 8 mm laminate flooring (SUPPLIED) with 2 mm spotted-gum underlay, ensuring the underlay is installed correctly and joins are appropriately positioned/taped. 4. Install the laminate (SUPPLIED) as a floating floor in accordance with the manufacturer’s requirements, including the required expansion gaps around walls and fixed structures. 5. Cut laminate neatly around the doorway and other edges/obstructions. 6. Finish the doorway/edges as required so the completed floor is secure and neat. 7. Remove offcuts and installation waste and leave the studio clean. Studio dimensions: 5.6 m × 3.3 m (approximately 18.48 m²). Materials supplied: laminate flooring, and underlay Item we need: plastic moisture-barrier sheeting ($25) and tape to ensure sealed.

A small abrasion has occurred when I used a magic eraser on floorboards, sanding back some of the polish to try to repair some small black marks.
