The fence height should come to 150cm, but the timber itself could be shorter since it would sit on top of a small concrete wall (about knee height). I have purchased a hoselock hose reel for my front garden and realise that the best placement involves a wooden post being concreted into the garden bed and then the reel being attached to that. So, dig a hole big enough to hold the weight, shove in a post, concrete it in and attach the hose reel. I could do it, but i don't have a post, i don't have the cement and my wife says I am hopeless with power tools. Which is fair. I have an old rotten garden fence post that needs removing then a replacement of the same size to be installed. The fence and gate are collapsing because of this rotting corner post. The new post will need concreting in and aligning.

We have a wooden slat farm fence across the front of our property, but the gaps are large enough for our dogs to squeeze through.
