We have a Rheem 400L Twin Element Electric Water Heater that used to run on off-peak power overnight. When we installed solar panels, the off-peak meter and timer were removed. Lately, we’ve noticed that our power usage between 11 pm–2am is very high — we think it’s the water heater still heating at night. Since feed-in rates are so low now (only a few cents), we’d really like to switch it to heat during the day when our solar is producing power. Does anyone can help us re-time or rewire the hot water system to run during the day? There’s no timer built into the unit itself.

I have a down light that keeps flickering after the LED bulb has been changed. It’s likely the transformer that needs replacing. The roof cavity doesn’t need to be entered as the transformer can be extracted via the light bulb outlet

The property has an NBN (FTTC) connection but the point is the old style phone jack (cream coloured plug - photo attached), that requires an adapter for use. Ideally we would like to replace the adaptor to a newer style point. At the same time if it could be relocated in the lounge as it's currently in a bedroom which is inefficient.

I need an electrician to do the following works in my garage: 1- replace the old florescent lamp with two 40W LED batten light. I will pay $150 separately for the lamps. 2- Add a new power point in the other side of the garage. All the wiring are surface conduit wiring. In addition, there is electricity wiring around 1 meter away from the required place. 3- Check the earth connection of the existing power point as my charger gives earth error. I believe it is problem in the power point but if finding the problem and solving it took more than one and half hour. I will pay $100 for any extra hour.
