Flashing Folder error, but was not able to boot into recovery mode after performing Command+R and other ways that was suggested online. Took it to Apple Genius Bar, who were able to perform the Diagnosis which showed that the Storage was showing error, which meant they were not able to help me further. They offered to take the SSD out for me, and advised to get a compatible caddy to try retrieving the data if it is even possible, but I need to find someone who could help do that for me. To retrieve some data stored on this drive. Mainly a few Lightroom Catalogs, and other small files. - Due date: Flexible

Hey there everyone looking for someone who can get my 2017 Apple MacBook Air 13” laptop (a1466 model) working again. It was functioning fine, then suddenly stopped and now when turning on freezes on the black screen with ? Folder flashing on it. I have rebooted to utility disk and in the internal list the usual MacHD drive icon is not there so I’m thinking it needs a new hard drive? Instead of the MacHD drive icon there is the small Apple SSD media icon and I can’t do anything to this ie. erase etc. If I go to try and reinstall MacOS it asks ‘select the drive you would like to install to,’ but there are no drives in the menu to be able to install to, which again makes me think it needs a new HD popped in. I had a guy offer to pop one in for $30 last year but lost his number!! (Can travel to you for repair.) - Due date: Needs to be done on Wednesday, 7 June 2023

My macbook's wifi wasn't working. I tried all the troubleshooting tips on the internet. That didn't help. So, I naively thought re-installing the OS to factory setting would help solve the issue. I went to disk utility, wiped the HDD clean. I went to Recovery Mode to install fresh OS. It turns out I NEED the wifi to install the OS. So, this is where I'm stuck. It's currently just a brick. Need your help in installing a fresh mac OS, preferably Big Sur or Monterey; not Ventura. Thanks.

Mac book was restarted halfway through a full wipe HDD and re-install OS. Everything was wiped but OS hadnt been installed when restart happened. I dont have another mac to make a boot disk with and doing on windows is just too much of a headache for my meager computing skills - Due date: Flexible
