Repair water-damaged exterior MDF door (Footscray, Melbourne) Looking for a handyman or carpenter to repair water damage to the bottom of an exterior MDF door. Damage limited to the lower edge and lower-right corner where rainwater has occasionally gotten underneath the door during heavy weather. The MDF has swollen and delaminated in this area (see photos). I'd like the damaged material assessed and repaired where practical rather than replacing the entire door. - Remove/cut back damaged and loose MDF. - Rebuild/fill damaged area with a suitable exterior-grade product. - Sand smooth and prepare for painting. - Seal the repaired area against future moisture. - Install a suitable solution to reduce future water ingress (e.g. door sweep, weather seal, drip strip, aluminium kick plate, or similar). Can pay separately for costs of the product itself. Open to quotes after inspection if additional work is required, but looking for a cost-effective repair rather than door replacement.

The front door is on a period Home - in diff seasons it wont shut. In winter it wont close or open properly - In summer it is Ok. It probably needs shaved or something. Also we have a wardrobe & bathroom doors which are off the rails and need adjusting . My price for budget is arbitrary - not sure what it costs...you can quote me...

I’m getting newer, plusher (thicker carpet) installed and shaving back the bottom of my two doors - one regular and one sliding - they won’t move freely. The height of the new carpet including underlay is about 3cm. Can someone please help me with this? Shouldn’t be too difficult I don’t think.
