Hi there, The power switch for my oven needs replacing. I've attached a photo. I've had someone stay in my apartment and didn't realise it was broken (it was stiff before their stay)- last night I went to turn it on a spring came off and there was a burning smell but it worked briefly to heat the hot plate.

Tenants tried to turn the burner on and it kept flicking/igniting without them continuing to hold the knob down. This happened for at least a minute. Also have tried to use the oven but it doesn’t seem to be heating up well except when it is on the grill function (a new thermostat has just been replaced).

I am replacing an old large oven with a smaller oven. It will leave a gap of around 300 millimetres at the top. I am wanting to make that gap a very neat looking white cube (including white melamine at the back) I can put a microwave in. Ideally too a bit extra of the cabinetry will be cut out.
