I have purchased a property that is a unit with a townhouse sitting over top, and the upstairs neighbour is quite noisy. I suspect there isn't much insulation for the noise given you can hear his TV pretty loudly and footsteps etc. I want to sort this out and see what kind of solutions would sound proof against this as best as possible. I am looking at all options as I will save to accomodate the best outcome possible, even if it means replacing the ceiling.
