Under the front covered porch, there is a leak (when there is heavy rain) that has caused crack on the ceiling of the front covered porch. Need the source of the leak to be stopped and ceiling repaired. Suspect the rusted gutter (approx total 4m in length) maybe the cause of the issue. Gutter is under and in between the roof tile and polycarbonate roof. When Polycarbonate roof is required to be remove to change the gutters, all roofing screws will need to be replaced as well. This is a tricky job. When we dismantled the front verandah we discovered a long piece of metal flashing jammed in under the gutter above our front door ...and above our front steps (tricky spot). We think you will have to loosen the gutter to be able to pull it out... alternatively you could cut it away. But then I need you to paint a small half metre section of gutter that the painter was unable to reach...again because it is above the steps and I think you will need a scaffold rather than a ladder.
