Find a reliable computer and IT professional in Sydney Eastern Suburbs

My dad passed away, and this computer holds movies/3D animations he created. I need you to preserve his work before the computer is sold. Please make a full backup, including his original animation projects and the files they depend on—not just the finished videos. Unless you think it’s ok and it won’t ruin what he has created. I’d like two separate copies, and please check that the copied videos play. Don’t erase anything until it’s fully done properly. I need someone with high experience and knowledge Please as these are sentimental. And I have no idea where to find them in the computer and how to put them onto an external drive to keep. He used an Apple Mac. He has possibly already put them on external hardrives, I don’t have a clue. Someone helpful and can guide me through and look at what he has and how to use these hardrives would be so kind. I have attached photos of an example of those hardrives he has which looks like have things on them already. He may have some unused ones at his home, which will need to check on the day someone comes to do the job for me. Someone who has the time and patience to show me and help me through this would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for someone to charge a fixed rate for the completion of the job, covering: * A full backup onto two separate drives. * Checking the copies and show me how to watch his movies. * The drives, GST and any call-out fee. This is a very sentimental job for me, and I really do need someone who can make it as simple as possible for me please. I need to sell the computer and I can’t do that before this is done. Thank you so much

Hi, I need someone to repair my PS5 DualSense controller. It has been unused for around 9 months. It no longer turns on or works even when connected by USB. When I connect the cable, the orange light only flashes once and then turns off. I have already tried different USB cables, different ports and the reset button, but nothing has worked. I suspect the battery may have failed, but I would like someone to diagnose it and replace the battery if necessary. Looking for someone experienced with PS5 DualSense controller repairs.

We have just moved into a new house and need internet/wifi hooked up. Everything ready to go but just don’t know what plugs in where. Should be a very quick job for someone that knows what to do

I have two Ethernet wall points in my upstairs office. One works correctly; the other, labelled Office Left, appears dead and does not establish a network connection to the comms cupboard downstairs. The local TP-Link switch and other network equipment have already been tested and are working correctly. Looking for an ACMA-registered data cabler to test the Office Left cable run end-to-end, check/reterminate the wall jack and comms cupboard end if required, and confirm a working Gigabit Ethernet connection. Please quote for testing/repair first. Replacement cable only if the existing run is faulty beyond repair.

PC hasnt been used in a few years and wont connect to monitor. One of the RAMs light up but the other one doesnt. Its not an issue with the ram itself as it doesnt light up in that same spot either. All pc lights turn on etc, just wont connect to monitor. Realistically probably just a battery or dust issue from not being used.

I believe the powerboard supplying power to my father's tv/foxtel/NBN box has blown (it is very old). A new powerboard needs to be connected to the wall but we cannot access the wall due the amount of clutter and the large cabinet blocking access. My father is elderly and can't move this stuff himself. I need someone who can do the following: 1. Carefully move all these bits and pieces away in order to access the plugs behind the cabinet, marked in red in one of the photos below. Please note this will be tricky as his house is full of this kind of clutter so there is not a lot of space to move things. I can send more pics of the space. These items are very precious to him and need to be moved with care. 2. Assess the situation behind the cabinet and make sure the electrical set up is safe and not likely to short circuit or create a fire hazard. Would be helpful if you have electrical experience or knowledge. 3. Install a new powerboard (we have one) 4. Reconnect his Foxtel Hub / NBN box / TV 5. Ensure all of the above + the wifi is working 6. Put all the bits and pieces of furniture back together again Please note my father is elderly and needs someone who can do this job with care and consideration.
