I’m moving out of my rental and urgently need an experienced carpet repair specialist to fix an existing carpet patch so the repair blends as seamlessly as possible with the surrounding carpet. I previously had a lovely handyman attend and attempt the repair. The damaged section has now been cut out and replacement carpet fitted, however, as shown in the photo, the edges/seam of the replacement section are still clearly visible. The previous person has done their best but has advised they are unable to get the cutout section to blend properly into the surrounding carpet. I need someone who specifically has experience with: * Carpet patching and invisible/seamless repairs * Re-cutting or repositioning an existing patch if required * Matching the carpet pile/direction * Properly joining and securing the edges * Blending/grooming the carpet so the rectangular cutout is not obvious I still have additional spare matching carpet available, so the existing patch can be removed and replaced again if that will achieve a better result. This is for an end-of-lease/bond inspection, so I am looking for someone confident they can substantially improve the appearance and make the repair as inconspicuous as reasonably possible. Remove and replace the damaged wood underneath. Remove the current ramp transition between the high and low floor sections. Build a solid single step to connect the two floor levels.
