Looking for a licensed plumber to safely disconnect an old gas cooktop from a kitchen island bench and permanently cap off the gas line underneath. The new induction unit already fits the stone cutout perfectly, so no cabinetry modifications are needed. The old unit just needs to be safely isolated, disconnected, and the line capped and pressure-tested. Must be a licensed plumber. Must provide a Gas Certificate of Compliance upon completion (needed for an energy rebate claim).

Two burners are not igniting properly using the built-in spark ignition system. Burner 1 (left side) : Clicking sound is present, but ignition is unreliable and usually does not light. Burner 2(right side): Does not spark/ignite at all. Both burners light and operate normally when lit manually with a lighter, so gas supply appears to be working. Looking for a qualified technician or gas fitter to diagnose and repair the ignition system. Please provide a quote including any call-out fee and estimated repair costs.

I have a gas cooktop where 3 out of 4 burners work perfectly. However, one specific burner is not sparking/igniting automatically. Note: If I use a manual BBQ lighter/match, the gas flows fine and the burner lights up safely, so the gas line is working. It seems to be just the individual ceramic igniter pin or wire for that specific burner that needs fixing or replacing. Hi, I’m looking for a licensed gas fitter to inspect an already installed gas cooktop. Just need a quick check of gas connections, leaks, and overall safety/compliance, and a compliance sign-off if all is okay. If required, a gas isolation valve may need to be added underneath the cooktop. A cement sheet has been installed behind the tiled wall for heat protection due to slightly reduced clearance (around 125mm). Original installer is unavailable, so just after a routine safety check for peace of mind. Location: Melton west, 3337

Need to disconnect and block off gas stove. Also check for leaks while in there so it’s not left dodgy, but also shut off mains as gas is no longer needed. Hi everyone, I am looking for a licensed plumber or gas fitter to permanently disconnect and cap the gas line to my broken cooktop so I can safely have an electric induction unit installed later. My current setup is a standard 60cm gas cooktop sitting directly above a Westinghouse electric wall oven. The gas is currently turned off at the main valve and the benchtop is laminate. I need you to safely disconnect the broken gas cooktop and permanently cap the gas pipe behind the oven. You will also need to test the line to ensure there are absolutely no leaks and issue a VBA Gas Compliance Certificate, which is mandatory for me to proceed with the electrical stage. Please leave the decommissioned cooktop sitting in the benchtop cutout once disconnected. My electrician will remove and dispose of it later to ensure dust and debris do not fall into the exposed oven casing in the meantime. You do not need to do any physical removal or electrical work.
