The Situation: The Incident: The door has come completely off the track and the glass is smashed. The Cause: Unsure, but we suspect thermal expansion (due to recent hot weather) caused the door/tracks to warp or swell, leading it to jump the rail. Current State: The door is currently moved aside safely. We have cleaned up most of the protruding glass shards, but the frame still needs professional attention. Scope of Work: Frame Assessment: Check the wooden frame for structural integrity. Since we suspect heat expansion, please check if the wood has warped or swollen and if it needs planing to fit correctly again. Railings & Track Repair: The door was difficult to slide in my general, well before it broke. We have two TV’s we would like mounted. One in an Alfresco brick wall (75”) which we want to secure with some anti theft screws and one on a plaster wall (85”) with the cables to be hidden. Two different mount types. We also have two collapsible clothes lines we would like mounted in our laundry.
