Door frame had some water damage that was bulging and making it very hard to close the door. Had to scrape it flat as a temporary but sadly made the whole situation worse.. wondering what the quote would be to replace frame.

I have a new security/screen door already purchased and ready to install at the front of my house. The existing aluminium reveal frame is older and has a lot of previous screw holes, and is likely too shallow for the new door. Because of this, the installer may need to either reinforce, overlay, or replace the aluminium reveal/jamb so the door can be mounted correctly, catch properly, and clear the main timber door hardware. This is not a straight “screw it on” job, some framing/retrofit work is almost certainly be required. Budget was for labour only. Materials (aluminium angle/flat bar or timber reveal, fixings, seals, etc.) will be paid separately if required. Looking for someone experienced with security door or screen door installs.
