I’m looking for an experienced tradesperson to carry out proper internal window resealing at my property. The home is a 3-year-old new build. The internal sealant around several windows has failed due to movement and is pulling away from the frames and reveals, particularly in corners and vertical joints. This is allowing condensation and has resulted in mould staining on the sealant and adjacent wall surfaces. Scope of work required: Full removal of all failed internal sealant (no over-sealing or patch repairs) Thorough cleaning and preparation of joints before resealing Resealing using a high-quality, low-modulus, mould-resistant silicone suitable for uPVC / aluminium window frames Neat finishing with allowance for future movement Honest advice on whether any minor making good or repainting will be required after resealing There is no active water ingress, but the existing sealant is no longer effective and needs to be restored correctly to prevent ongoing condensation and mould. I’m specifically looking for someone with experience in window sealing / mastic work, rather than general decorating.
