Review connectivity in the house and recommendations for WiFi extender / mesh system and troubleshoot connectivity loss to garden office

There is poor connection in our building. We need a router lifted out of the current room and moved to the office downstairs, to ensure that there is stronger connection. We need someone who is experienced in router positioning and improving connectivity.

I have a Community fibre provided linksys router and I have added 3 linksys extenders to improve coverage across my 3 floor house. 2 of these 3 extenders have stopped working and just display redlights. I have used Community Fibre support to try resetting these but it has not worked. I bought a new base router (TP-link Archer550) but I cannot get this to register an internet signal from the Community Fibre modem and they have told me they cannot provide support on 3rd party equipment. I need help either getting the original equipment to work or with setting up the new TP-link router I have bought.

Install WiFi boosters all around the house

WiFi drop outs on my home network setup as below. Gigabit Community Fibre internet via UniFi Cloud Gateway Ultra -> TP-Link PoE switch -> 4x UniFi NanoHD APs (multi-floor home). All WiFi devices drop connections repeatedly (phones, laptops, TVs), causing Zoom/Teams calls to cut out and web pages to buffer/delay despite seemingly strong signal. Previous attempts (self-done): Firmware updates, channel changes, RSSI tweaks, power adjustments, density warnings resolved - issue persists. Logs show no obvious WAN drops. Need on-site engineer experienced with UniFi/ Ubiquiti + Community Fibre to: Diagnose full network - Check PoE budget, cabling integrity, AP placement/overlap. Optimize radios (channels, power, band steering, fast roaming). Review UniFi console logs/events. Aim is to ensure WiFi network stable for Zoom/video streaming/internet use. Thanks. James

I need to move the Virgin Wi-Fi router from the bedroom to a communal area. Ethernet cables will be required for extensions. The power supply will need to be taken from the opposite side of the wall (through the wall) to the new location.

we are in a 3-storey tall townhouse, all the internet cabling and router are on the ground floor inside a cupboard. We have 1 ethernet port on 1st floor living room but unsure if it is connected to provide internet, have tried plugging the router in there but doesnt seem to work. We have very poor signal and connection for the upper 2 floors, we have wifi extender plugged in on 1st floor and also 3-halo cubes (1 at the router, 1 on 1st floor and 1 on 2nd floor) wifi mesh installed but still very poor. and occasionally signal dropping out. And when more than 1 person working from home, then someone will definitely get no work done and having to go to the ground floor kitchen and work. It's new built area in Greenwich, and none of the household internet providers are available its one of these OFNL set up - contacted provider and they said they are not responsible for poor signal etc, its my deal to get electricians or whatever to come and inspect and work on til my heart content. I will provide some photos later this week to give you experts some idea of what is going on, and see if you guys can help me make improvement. The biggest issue is the house is tall, its a long way UP for any signal from the router and to go through many floors building materials. would like someone who can really make a difference in terms of improving the situation for our household.

Looking for someone to install a Hive WiFi Thermostat

The router is a BT business router which would need to be connected to 4 different computers in an office. They do not use wifi, they are all connected via broadband.

A BT technician came and spent quite a bit of time working on it. He managed to fix the line, but the problem now is that the broadband kit (from BT) couldn’t be found in the flat but it has been found today. Task: set up the router and ensure the Wi-Fi is fully working for the guest.

Sony Bravia tv has connected to WiFi for 3 years and last week (I suspect after a software update) it’s no longer connecting. No issues with the WiFi which works for all other devices & supports work video calls.
