I’m looking for an experienced decorator to complete the preparation and painting of my hallway, staircase and first-floor landing. Most of the wallpaper has already been removed, but the decorating work still needs finishing before painting. Scope of work: * Remove any remaining wallpaper from corners, edges and difficult-to-reach areas. * Scrape off any loose adhesive residue. * Sand walls where required to achieve a smooth finish. * Fill and smooth any remaining holes, cracks or imperfections (some holes have already been filled with Polyfilla but may need sanding or touching up). * Prepare all walls ready for painting. * Apply mist coat if required (please advise). * Paint walls with 2 coats of emulsion. * Paint ceilings if needed (please quote separately if not included). * Protect floors, stairs, bannisters and doors with dust sheets and masking tape. * Leave the area clean and tidy after completion. Area to be decorated: * Staircase walls (from ground floor to first floor) * Hallway * Landing * High stairwell wall (see photo) Additional Information: * The walls are mostly stripped already. * There are a few patches, edges and corners that still need attention. * Some minor filling has already been completed. * Access is available throughout the day. * Please bring your own decorating tools (sanders, scrapers, ladders/step ladders, etc.). Please quote for labour only and state whether you can also supply materials (primer, filler, paint, masking tape, etc.) if required. Experience decorating stairwells and older properties is preferred.
