Looking for an carpenter or kitchen fitter to cut and install new IKEA pre-cut laminate worktops (probably EKBACKEN / SÄLJAN) in a small, U-shaped kitchen in Archway (N19). Job Details: Layout & Dimensions: Small U-shape. Left run is 220 cm, back wall is 200 cm, right run is 237 cm (see attached diagram for layout and step-in detail). Joints: Requires 2 Mason’s Mitre joints for the corners to ensure a seamless look. Cutouts: Needs one cutout for a standard sink and one cutout for a induction hob. Special Cut: The left run has a 40 cm deep section that steps out by 20 cm to meet the standard 60 cm depth. This will need a straight rip-cut and finished edge. Edging: Apply the iron-on/glue-on laminate edging strips (included by IKEA) to the visible exposed ends. Plumbing: Please let me know in your offer if you are able to handle the basic disconnection/reconnection of the sink tap, or if I need to arrange a separate plumber for that part. We have an Edwardian Gable style conservatory it has been leaking so needs the wooden strips replacing and sealing and needs to then be painted on the wooden frame externally. Might need. Scaffold or conservatory ladders I’m not sure. Also need window sills and windows painting too, 1 original sash window ,1 original casement window and a kitchen window and small toilet window. Could quote for other painting jobs. The last time painted the painter used a special ladder extension. Treat a 5m x 3m decked area, the steps, balustrades & handrails with a wax oil treatment which will be supplied. 2 coats are required on the decking & steps. Brushes and tools supplied. This task can only be carried out when the weather is good and dry and the wood has not been wet. Therefore timing is largely dictated by the weather.

Task: Replace 2 Ceiling Light Fixtures & Hang Lampshades I’d like to update the light fittings in two rooms: • Bedroom: Remove current pendant with multiple hanging cables and install a single cable fitting suitable for a standard lampshade (single bulb). Then hang the new lampshade. • Living/Dining Room: Remove existing chandelier-style pendant and replace with a simple fitting for the same type of bulb as the bedroom. Then hang the new lampshade. Please ensure both lights are safely installed, wiring checked, and compatible with standard lampshades. Task 2: The switch appears to be broken and isn’t working properly. After removing the cover, it looks like something may be wrong with the wiring/cables behind the switch. Because of this, I don’t think it’s safe to use, and it likely needs to be checked and repaired by a professional.
