Looking for an experienced handyman/carpenter to install skirting boards in a few small sections of our home (not a full room). This is to finish areas where a new wall was added, so the skirting needs to tie in seamlessly with existing boards. Scope of work: - Measure, cut, and install skirting boards in several short sections - Create clean joins with existing skirting - Cut precise 45-degree mitre corners (external corner visible) - Ensure boards sit flush against slightly uneven walls - Fill, sand, and prep for a clean, paint-ready finish Requirements: - Must have own tools (including mitre saw) - Experience with detailed finish carpentry - Strong attention to detail, especially around corners and joins - Must be confident working with slightly uneven walls and achieving a seamless result Materials: - We have skirting boards already, but happy to take advice if anything additional is needed Additional note: We’re looking for someone reliable who can complete the job to a high standard in one visit or clearly planned sessions.

We need some skirting board fitted in our lounge. Medium sized lounge with a bay window We have already purchased the skirting board, we just need someone to fit it!

Three bedrooms require skirting to be cut to correct angles and fitted. Room 1 is 4.85m into bay X 3.25m, Room 2 is 3.70m X 3.25m, Room 3 is 2.9m X 2.5m. The skirting will be standard from Wickes, torus finished white skirting. We are currently preparing walls for crack repair and then painting. I need a section of the skirting board in the kitchen cut out to be able to remove the washing machine which is currently integrated so we can install a freestanding one. need the sides where it has been cut left neatly and not rough.

Fitting Skirting Board- i have bought it but cant use the mitre to get the right angles

I’d like to remove an old skirting board so we can install an Ikea wardrobe flush against the wall. I’ve tried myself but don’t have the right tools to do so. It’s just for one wall length in our room which is about 3.7m.

Install new skirting board on one wall around a chimney breast. The skirting is in two parts: 180 x 18mm base and top moulding 21 x 12 mm, in order to replicate the original skirting around the rest of the room.
