I am looking for tradespeople to install an existing 5-metre motorised retractable awning with a Somfy motor at my property in East Dulwich (SE22). The awning has been kindly offered to us by a neighbour who is having an extension built and is currently still installed at their property, although it will be removed shortly. I have bought an electric awning that is 4 metres wide and 75kg in weight. It needs fitting above my patio doors at the rear of my house. The fitter will need at least 1 other person with them due to weight and size of the item, potentially 2 more. They will also need at least 2 sets of ladders tall enough to reach 2.5-2.75m up. Purchased a 2.5m external awning. The awning will need to be drilled into a brick wall and fixed with the installation kit. I will try and attach the installation guide for reference. We will have 1 extra set of hands available for support on the job. The awning is stuck in the open setting and won’t close. The loop to wind the awning has snapped off as the gearbox has jammed.
