The awning is stuck in the open setting and won’t close. The loop to wind the awning has snapped off as the gearbox has jammed.
Rajandeep's Team was very professional, hard working and reliable. We would definitely use them again. This is our first experience of Airtasker and would say their App needs more work (keeps crashing) and their commission is too high.

Hello, We have a broken electric awning that is currently stuck fully open, and we require an urgent repair early next week. The motor appears to have failed/seized in the open position. We have been advised to carry out the repair in the below two phases: 1) Phase 1 (Make Safe): A fixed price to come out, professionally brace the spring arms, and remove the dead Somfy motor "in situ" (without taking the main awning down off the wall, as per STOBAG service specifications). Once the motor is removed, manually wind the awning back into its cassette so it is safely and securely closed. 2) Phase 2 (Replacement): A fixed price to supply and install the correct replacement high torque Somfy motor and labor to commission/program the system so it is fully operational again. System Specifications: - Manufacturer: STOBAG (Swiss Quality) - Model: Resobox BX8000 (Box Awning) - Dimensions: 680 cm width x 400 cm projection - Hardware: 3 Folding Arms - Motor System: Somfy tubular motor (io-homecontrol compatible) - Location: South Ruislip Please let us know your availability and your fixed price structure for Phase 1 as soon as possible. Thank you.
