I have a Westwood S1600 with a Briggs & Stratton engine that will not start. The engine turns freely when the spark plug is removed, but once the spark plug is fitted, it becomes very hard to turn and the top pulley/flywheel only turns about one turn and then stops. I have already checked and adjusted the valve clearance, but the problem is still the same. The decompression action seems to be there, but the engine still feels too tight under compression and will not start.
