Parquetry floor needs sanding and polishing. Lounge/dining/kitchen and hallway, about 50m2 in total. Some water damaged areas need repairing (pieces lifted and replaced), probably 2 square metres or so. Will need to source timber to match what is in place, which might be a mix of turpentine, blackbutt and spotted gum or similar. Finish needs to be 2 coats of hard wax (Osmo or similar). House will be vacant for about 2 weeks from March 12th, this is the window of opportunity.

I need my deck sanded around my pool as there are splinters coming through. After the sanding, it needs to be oiled a few times and protected from the sun. The oil around the pool needs to be somewhat of a scotchguard to protect it from water (wood swelling). There may be a dozen screws that need replacing to hold the boards in place as well.

Hi there, I’m looking for an experienced deck painter to clean, prep and apply 2 coats of Cabot’s water-based decking oil/stain to my previously coated timber deck. Approx areas: • Deck floor – 30m² • Handrails + posts – approx 18 linear metres • Stairs – • Staircase 1: 9 treads (1300mm wide) • Staircase 2: 3 treads (3600mm wide) The deck has been coated before, so this is not new timber. What I’m looking for: • Proper wash/degrease (including mould treatment if needed) • Sanding/prep to ensure good adhesion • Removal of any flaking/loose coating • Attention to edges, stair nosings, rails and posts • 2 coats of Cabot’s water-based product (applied as per manufacturer instructions) • Protection of surrounding areas and tidy clean-up after When quoting, please let me know: • Whether you think this is a standard recoat or likely needs a full strip back • What prep is included in your price (wash + sand etc.) • If you can supply Cabot’s product or if you prefer I supply it (happy for pricing both options) • Confirmation that 2 full coats are included on all surfaces If you think full stripping may be required, please either include it or price it as an optional extra. Please quote as a lump sum (and note if GST applies). Thanks!
