What do flooring services include?

Concrete Floors
A concrete flooring professional can install new concrete floors, or change the look of your existing floors with concrete polishing and epoxy coatings to add colour and texture to your floor. Depending on what you need done, they may work with concrete, a mixer, a grinder, and floor polish or epoxy to protect and seal the floor.
Carpet
When installing carpets, you’ll first need the old carpet removed. Carpet removal can be a dusty, heavy job, so your carpet specialist will use crowbars to lift the carpet and knives to cut the carpet into sections. They’ll wear durable gloves to protect their hands when they lift and roll the carpet. If the insulation or underfelt is in good condition, you may be able to lay the new carpet directly on top. Your contractor will measure out the right size for your new carpet, before cutting it out and rolling it in place. They’ll use a knee kicker to push the carpet firmly into the edges and corners of your room, trimming the excess carpet.
Floorboards
While timber floorboards might be a higher maintenance option, floating floors come with many benefits, with a huge range of styles. And they’re relatively easy to repair if one board gets chipped or damaged. Your flooring contractor can advise you on environmentally friendly options, such as bamboo and cork floorboards, as well. Floorboard installation starts with clearing the area before wooden struts are positioned to create a framework for the boards to sit on. At this point, you can choose to install soundproof insulation under your bamboo floorboards or timber floorboards to help reduce noise. Then your contractor will install your timber floorboards over the wooden struts. Once your new floor is installed, you can keep it looking it’s best with regular polishing and refinishing.
Tiled floors
Tiles are popular for bathroom flooring, or throughout the whole house for easy cleaning. Tile floor installation involves laying marble, stone, or ceramic tiles on the floor. When installing tiles, your flooring professional will usually first remove the existing flooring. This may require tools such as a jackhammer or a chisel and hammer to break up and lift the old tiles. Then they’ll prepare the area with adhesives and concrete, before laying the tiles. Once the adhesive has set, your tiler will apply grout in the gaps between each tile, creating a waterproof surface.
Laminate, vinyl & linoleum flooring
Getting your vinyl, linoleum, or laminate floors professionally installed usually starts with removing any old floor coverings and skirting boards. Laminate flooring is usually easy to remove but may require chemical solvents, depending on the adhesives used. Once the area is cleared, the floors will be levelled and prepared with any underlay and insulation required. At this stage, your flooring contractor may add in things like waterproofing or underfloor heating. I'm looking to install laminate flooring that I have left in my bathroom (1.25M X 2M). It currently has tiling installed (cracked and easily to remove) so this needs removing. The only tricky thing here is that the toilet and basin sit on top of the tiles so these would need lifting/moving to install the new laminate. Pics attached. After a recent heavy leak in my apartment, water has found its way underneath the laminate flooring, soaked into the underlay, bubbled up and warped. Right now it's literally squelching when you walk on it. I am taking this opportunity to replace not just the flooring in this area, but the flooring in the entire apartment with a more sturdy reliable LVT (Click vinyl) flooring instead. Right now, I have no idea how many square metres I would need, or what type of base the flooring sits on / what type of underlay I would need, so I just need someone to come round to; - Measure (and find out the square metres) - Find out what base the floor sits on - Asses the damage, offering some prep / guidance for the timeline of the job (i.e. do I need to take flooring up and let it dry for a significant period of time before laying new floor)? - Provide any help and advice on what type of underlay / flooring will work best in my apartment. Once this is done, and if you're qualified, I may need you to fit the flooring, but I am currently just in need of this assessment, so I can get a few quotes for my insurer. So my wife has just bought 2 carpets for our bedrooms however because the website she bought them on doesnt fit them as well, we find ourselves needing someone to fit them for us. The main room is mostly square however the room curves inwards where one of the windows is and takes a large bite out of one corner. As the carpet we are getting is on a roll, this corner will have to be measured and cut from the carpet before it can be laid. The second bedroom is rectangular and shouldnt be an issue if you can fit the main room. Not sure on a budget, send me quotes for what ive mentioned

Kitchen and living room located on bottom floor. Hallway starts on bottom floor and leads up to second floor. Wallpaper will be supplied by us in coordination/consultation by you. We will move most of the furniture to the center of the room but a couple things may need to moved and put back by you, such as the fridge.
