I have recently had my floorboards sanded and varnished, but one floorboard needs replacing as it is rotten and the original builder is no longer available to do it. I have the varnish and stainer (and can buy the floorboard) I need someone to cut the floorboard to size, lay it and nail it down.

Hi, I currently have carpet down, with floorboards underneath. Beneath the floorboards there is an original wooden floor. At some point, chipboard was installed over the wooden flooring, but unfortunately the builder who carried out the work did not provide adequate ventilation. As a result, the floor has become corroded, uneven, and unstable. I am looking for a quote for the following work: • Remove all existing flooring, including the damaged chipboard and any affected materials. • Provide a quote for either: Removing everything and filling the area with concrete, or Removing everything and installing new floorboards. A skip will also be required as part of the job, as we are disabled and do not have access to a vehicle for waste removal. If you could provide a quotation for the work, I would be very grateful. I need to do a temporary repair on 2 floorboards in my bathroom. I want to keep the original floorboards but they have a crack. The recommendation from the old owner - who is a builder but lives overseas, says to put a brace understand the floorboards to stablise them. He said should be relatively easy. To remove the 2 floorboards, temporarily move the toilet basin to access, brace then return The floorboards are attached with - Bullet Hole Screws The toilet has 2 screws toilet and would need to be moved, water stopped The job has to be Wednesday as I am travelling before and afterwards. I can be home all day, ideally done during the day in case we need wood from Leyland - they need to be open and they are across the road
