Looking for someone experienced with original wood flooring / pine floorboards to repair a damaged board in my flat in Balham. One floorboard has split and partially broken along the edge near the joint. I’m looking for either: - a repair/stabilisation of the existing board, or - replacement of the individual board if needed This is an older property with original pine boards, so ideally looking for someone with flooring/carpentry experience rather than general handyman patchwork. A 2 bed flat. Bathroom recently done but a leak has affected some of the floorboards in the rest of the house and we'd like the whole flat done. Some areas a bit spongy under foot. We have had firms out but they all tell us different things.

I’m looking for a carpenter or flooring specialist to inspect and repair damaged bedroom flooring. It looks like previous tenants may have cut out part of the floorboards or created an access panel. There are visible saw cuts, gaps, drilled holes and a section that appears loose/uneven. I’d like someone to assess whether the floor is safe, check what is underneath before fixing, and carry out a proper repair. The job may involve: * Lifting/checking the damaged section * Making sure there are no pipes or cables underneath * Securing or replacing the cut section * Fitting replacement boards or making the area safe and tidy * Matching the existing flooring as closely as possible This is in a bedroom and I’m looking for a neat, safe repair rather than a temporary filler job. We have replaced around 15 floorboards and they need sanding with a hand sander. We have a machine that can be used but we don’t have the time to do it ourselves.

10 square meters room, needs to install lvt tiles. Old carpets and underlay removed so may need plyboard to supply and put on top of floor boards and then install clicked lvt tiles ( I will supply materials)which is build up with underlay and finishing work.

Hello Our bedroom has wooden slats when electrician channelled cable he left them loose. Probably 6 boards need fixing.

I have a 25 foot by 13 foot floor, passage 11 foot by 6 floor and a bedroom 12x11foot wood floor that needs fitting please.

I need to do a temporary repair on 2 floorboards in my bathroom. I want to keep the original floorboards but they have a crack. The recommendation from the old owner - who is a builder but lives overseas, says to put a brace understand the floorboards to stablise them. He said should be relatively easy. To remove the 2 floorboards, temporarily move the toilet basin to access, brace then return The floorboards are attached with - Bullet Hole Screws The toilet has 2 screws toilet and would need to be moved, water stopped The job has to be Wednesday as I am travelling before and afterwards. I can be home all day, ideally done during the day in case we need wood from Leyland - they need to be open and they are across the road
