We require help installing our cheap felt back carpet into our new house as a temporary solution for a year. Glued down, no underlay etc. Ordered from Carpet Warehouse with Gekko spray adhesive. Not looking for perfection here as will be ripped out in a years time. Three box rooms, one larger master, landing and living room. My husband is available to help.

Straight staircase with varying levels of creak across the twelve stairs. Looking for someone to ensure the stairs are solid and quiet before new carpet goes down in April. The stairs currently have no carpet. There is old underlay, which can be removed without needing to be replaced, and grippers are still in place. We are having new carpets fitted on Monday 13th April and are looking for a friendly, skilled tradesperson to help us on Tuesday 14th April. We are replacing current laminate flooring with a thicker carpet and underlay. We have confirmed that a minimum of 3 doors will definitely require trimming, with the potential for up to 6 doors in total. Potential Scope (3 to 6 doors): Downstairs: Entrance (porch) and Kitchen. Upstairs: Main bedroom, Office, Second bedroom, and Boiler cupboard. Note on Doors: Most upstairs doors open inwards into the rooms. Even so, they are already catching slightly on the landing side. Specifically, the second bedroom door currently opens with great difficulty due to the carpet already being in place, so these definitely need professional attention to clear perfectly.
