have a GoodHome portable air conditioning unit that requires diagnosis and repair. The unit still cools the room effectively, but as soon as the compressor kicks in it develops a loud rattling noise. We’ve had to place something underneath the right-hand side of the unit to reduce the vibration, which helps slightly, but it’s not a proper fix. I suspect it may be something relatively straightforward, such as loose mounting bolts, a loose bracket or casing, worn anti-vibration mounts, or a component that requires adjustment. I’d like someone to inspect the unit, identify the cause of the rattling, and provide a quote for repair. Ideally, I’m looking for someone with experience repairing portable air conditioning units rather than installing fixed systems.

External electrical / wiring damage needs fixing at the front of our studio

I am looking for an electrician to diagnose and fix a fault with an outdoor garden outlet. The outlet is used for a pond filter pump, but it has recently stopped working. Every time anything is plugged into it, the MCB trips immediately, and there is a warning/siren noise from the consumer unit. I have already: Replaced the pond pump with a brand-new one. Installed a new switch and fuse. Despite this, the instant tripping still happens. I suspect there may be water ingress in the outdoor socket housing, a fault/degradation in the underground armored cable, or a faulty MCB at the board? Looking for someone to come out, do some fault-finding/testing, and quote for the repair. Please let me know your availability

Downlight failed. Replaced bulb but still not working. Went to change ceramic socket into which bulb connects and noticed that plastic junction box between socket and transformer had burnt out. Keen to get this checked out

The cable trunking along the skirting board has come loose and opened up. The casing isn’t secure and the cables are exposed. One of the sockets in that area is also loose and almost coming off the wall .

Fix in socket under sink area as just left loose. To supply and fit 1 x single socket outlet in cupboard to right hand side of oven for fridge freezer. To supply and fit 1 x barrell connector to extend flex cable on cooker hood and fit 1 x 3 pin plug top so reaches the socket outlet to left hand side of hob.
