Ideally: Fix/Service the Winder: Lubricate the winding mechanism. If needed, replace the winder. Repair & Repaint Timber: Remove loose/flaking paint. Sand smooth. Fill cracks or damaged timber (timber bog for deep damage, caulk for small gaps). Prime exposed timber and repaint with exterior-grade paint. Its a motor and remote operated Awning and extends full. It just needs to be realigned and adjusted to the correct position as one side is tilted downword and its too low on full extension.

My retractable awning appears imbalanced when opening, with the right side hanging lower than the left. I’ve noticed that the metal pin on the right-side handle is loose and doesn’t seem to be installed properly. I need someone to come and fix it for me. You will need a ladder to reach out to the awning.

The awning is going to be over a balcony, however it is on the second storey of the property. I have attached images of the location and general area. I would like a translucent polycarbonate sheet, intention is to keep the weather off the back door.
