Location: Koolewong NSW (Central Coast) Issue observed: During very heavy rain, water appears to enter around the chimney / flue where it passes through the metal roof. I have inspected the roof cavity and noticed: • Insulation near the chimney becomes damp after heavy rain • The insulation is not heavily soaked, suggesting a small leak likely around flashing or seal • Water appears to run down the flue pipe and drip onto the wood heater below Photos of the roof cavity, flue penetration, and heater area are attached.
