My roller blind is almost 10 years old. The bead chain stopped working and I cannot raise or lower the blind using it. I think it might be off the track as I can manually wind the blind up via the roller at the top and pull the blind down. I've been quoted $110 from the company who installed it just for a call out and then I'll be billed for time and parts after that. Just wondering if there is anyone able to look at/fit this for me? I'm currently studying part-time and only working 5 hours per week.

I have a fireplace that needs to be removed and then reinstated by a qualified carpenter. The reason for this is a water leak that requires the wooden floorboards running under the fireplace to be removed. The fireplace dimensions are: Height - 2560mm Width - 1590mm Depth - 565mm It contains a gas fireplace model Escea GF900. This will need to be decommissioned by a gas fitter and then recommissioned once the fireplace has been rebuilt. The cost of the gas fitter doing both these tasks must be included in the quote. The gas fireplace unit weighs 400-500kg. The plasterboard must comply with all regulations for fireplaces and be fire rated. The plasterboard must be finished, and the surface made flat for the stonework to be reapplied by a stonemason. The stonemason will have removed the stone prior to the work commencing to remove the fireplace. I am not interested in quotes for removing and reinstating the stonework as I have someone to do that. It is an insurance job, and I am interested in the highest quality finish. The frame for the fireplace, and the plasterboard covering it will need to be measured perfectly to ensure the stonework fits back into place on top of it with no gaps once it has been rebuilt.
