Don’t know if I need a builder, a stone mason or a carpenter so sending it out here and hopefully someone with qualified skill set responds! I’d like to have a stone fireplace hearth built in front of our new gas log fireplace. Must be strong enough that can withstand kids inevitably standing or sitting on it. Current and inspo pictures attached but basically after a thickness from ground same as our skirting boards of approximately 14-15cm, slightly wider than fireplace approximately 185cm and wrapping around back to wall in lieu of skirting on sides. Happy to pick and pay stone separately if you can recommend a supplier but a warm light greyish slightly marblish look pretty much what we are going for. Assuming it will be a wooden structure with facing stone kind of like a bench top but think enough to support some weight if someone stands on it -because kids! - Due date: Flexible

Small job - will be done in under an hour - I have the metal ties. Re-attach sagging brushwood and then put another layer on top. The photo is an old photo and doesn't show the sagging brushwood already there - but it's just that small back area of picket fences. If possible I would like the gate covered as well - you may need to bring cutting tools for wire in brushwood etc. Would be great to get done this Wednesday 16th or Thursday 17th (and not too hot!). - Due date: Before Monday, 21st Feb 2022

The internal pully system is not wrking. One side working, other side not. Possibly needs to be restrung by someone who is familiar with this product?

Two man job, I need 4 finials replaced. They have been prepainted, they need it be drilled, fixed and probably sealed

I have a beautiful reclaimed timber beam and some stunning brackets to hang it on, I just need someone to come install it for me. It is an extremely heavy beam approximately 30kg and each bracket is probably about 3 to 3.5kg each, so there is a fair bit of weight to consider. The beam is 8inches by 4 inches and about 1.7metres long. The fireplace was framed with studs in place as knew all along the beam and brackets I intended to use. I have photos and measurements from the installations which should make placement a little easier. I also went to the specialist bolt shop near me to ask an expert about coach screws. We are both a little concerned that the holes in the brackets limited the choice we had so hopefully what I have bought is sufficient. But because of the weight I would prefer a builder or carpenter that can provide expert advice. Worst case scenario would me to take the brackets to a blacksmith to make some of the holes bigger, so can put a thicker screw at least in the bottom part. ***Edits to add: I have contacted the brackets manufacturer and they have provided the following information: We drill for 1/4" lag bolts. We have others concerned of the bolt size too. However, 1/4" lag bolts have a sheer strength of around 1,200 lbs each. We have had clients hold upwards of 300lbs + on our 4" wide brackets with 1/4" lags without a problem:) To get to the bolt behind the support bar, we suggest pre-drilling your wall. Put the bolt in the bracket off the wall and using a wrench to walk it in until it is secure. Would love this done ASAP if possible. I would also like to discuss my plans for my hearth to see if it’s viable.

I have a reclaimed timber board I want hung to use for display above my mug racks. I have bought brackets and screws and I could probably do it myself but I’m a big wuss. Ideally also want my kids bunk ladder screwed back together too. Bottom rung snapped off(last pic with photo bombing kitten for cuteness).
