Looking for a licensed electrician to supply and install a simple, quiet and reliable white ceiling fan in my living room. There is currently a ceiling light in the exact location, which I'd like replaced with the fan. Preferably a 48–52" DC fan with remote control and minimal wobbling. Please include the fan, installation, GST and CCEW in your quote. I’ve attached a photo of the existing light for reference. The landlord has approved the installation subject to receiving a quote. Hi, I’m looking for a licensed NSW electrician to complete several electrical installations in my apartment. I have not purchased the new fittings yet, as I would like the electrician to review the products/specifications and confirm compatibility with the existing installation before I place the order. I will also need to seek approval from the strata for the ceiling fans (I assume). Work required Living/dining area/bathroom - Remove and replace 2 existing ceiling light fittings with new LED light fittings and ideally a dimmer. - Replace 1 existing ceiling light fitting with a DC ceiling fan with integrated LED light. Bedroom - Replace 1 existing ceiling light fitting with a DC ceiling fan with integrated LED light with a dimmer. The ceiling fans will be installed in the same locations as the existing light fittings. No new ceiling locations are planned. The fans I am currently considering are the EGLO Surf DC Ceiling Fan with integrated LED – 48", White with Oak Timber Style blades. The ceilings are approximately 2.8 m high. 2 x 2 of the current lights are on the same switch so I think that would need some work to put a fan wall control (if possible) - See pictures Switches / dimmers I would also like the electrician to: - Check the existing wiring and wall switches. - Confirm what type of wall controller / dimmer is compatible with the new lights and ceiling fans. - Advise whether any switches or dimmers need to be replaced. - Let me know whether I should purchase these myself or whether you can supply the compatible ones. I would ideally like someone who can inspect the existing installation before I purchase the fans and lights, or review the product specifications and confirm compatibility beforehand. Hi, I recently had a new ceiling fan installed, but unfortunately it stopped working the following day. It was working normally immediately after installation, but now won’t turn on at all. Looking for a qualified electrician/handyperson to come out, diagnose the issue and get it working again. As shown in the photo, there is a rectangular section of plasterboard around the ceiling fan which was cut to install a support beam for the fan. The job is to: * Patch/reinstate the plasterboard around the ceiling fan * Tape/set/plaster as required * Sand smooth and flush with the existing ceiling * Leave the repaired area ready for us to prime and paint ourselves * Protect the bedroom/flooring from dust and clean up afterwards Ceiling height is approximately 3.9 metres, so you’ll need to provide your own suitable high ladder/platform/access equipment.
