I need an experienced handyman or carpenter to purchase and install a new external door (window not necessary )with a built-in pet door. This is for a rental property, so the original door must be kept safe and stored properly for reinstallation later. What I need you to do: 1) Source and purchase a new door: You will be responsible for buying a new external door (with a pet door or install a pet door) that fits my existing frame. We can discuss specifications and budget beforehand. I will reimburse you for the cost of the door upon presentation of a receipt. 2) Carefully remove the old door: The current external door must be removed from its hinges without any damage. 3) install the new door: The new door should be fitted professionally into the existing frame. It must be properly aligned, plumb, and swing smoothly. 4) Transfer hardware: You will need to transfer the current door's hardware (handles, lock, etc.) to the new door or install new hardware as required. The chain on my electric garage door has snapped. It may just need to be reconnected, or possibly replaced if it can’t be fixed. The chain is made up of many small links that require special tools to reconnect. Right now the remote doesn’t work and I can’t open the door manually because the broken chain is stuck and blocking it.
